RESPIRATORY THERAPY
Our respiratory therapists care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. The treatment plans are designed to assist each patient to achieve his or her optimal pulmonary function while promoting an understanding of the disease process. This may include, but not limited to, a pulmonary medication regimen along with education, airway clearance modalities, ventilator, tracheotomy and oxygen weaning protocols, lung expansion and coughing techniques, and or pulmonary muscle training.
SPEECH
Our speech therapist can assist the residents in obtaining the ability to communicate, eat and swallow safely.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The path to health and well-being is intricately linked to the daily occupations in which we choose to participate. Occupational therapy is a profession that focuses on enabling clients to maximize their capacity to participate in life activities that are important and meaningful to them. You and your family members will also have the comfort of knowing that the same therapist will follow you through your stay and remain in close communication with the nursing team to ensure you receive personalized, optimal care.
PULMONARY
The team of therapists at Lexington Square help to improve the well-being and quality of life for those who have chronic breathing issues, through patient education, rehabilitation and disease management.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy can help improve or restore the mobility you need to move forward with your life. If you are suffering from an illness, surgery or limited mobility, let our team of therapists help you get back on track in order for you to regain your strength and mobility.
RESTORATIVE
We have a wonderful Restorative team that reinforces the care provided by the therapists to promote or enhance your wellness and strength, helping you to maintain your highest level of physical function.
LONG-TERM CARE
Mississippi Valley offers a variety of services which can help meet both the medical and non-medical needs of people with a chronic illness or disability who can no longer live alone, and need 24-hour supervision and assistance with daily activities.
